getting a Giver of Disease?
I have no idea why I am contemplating so long on whether to purchase Andrew Bell's Giver of Disease. I love it, no doubt about it. I suppose I've just gotten too busy organizing my finance for a couple of upcoming things.
Best place to grab a piece? Or in bulk with other Andrew Bell merchandises?
Vinyl FallOut has the best offer here.
I was just thinking, how popular have the Givers gotten so far?
Andrew mentioned Vinyl Pulse will be offering one up for grabs in next week's competition / give away.

my Giver of War
Massive appreciation to Andrew Bell for the mini-sketch and decal freebies. It was a long wait (since April?), but it all boils down to this brilliant-looking piece. When I first picked it up from the post office, I saw that it was smaller than I innitially thought. Upon opening, I'd say that it is of the right size. I guess I wouldn't had wanted it any bigger, I'm out of space at home.
The colour is fantastic, dark greyish makes it looks cool. The red wings are a sweet addition, small and makes you wonder whether he can depend on them. On a sidenote, I do miss the originally intended release - the orange Burning Desire.
I noticed US stores have started putting the Giver of Disease - Gangrene up for sale. I'm definitely grabbing one, just pondering which store that'll be earning my dough.

Giver of War - Dead Zebra edition
We finally get to see these guys all done and ready to ship. Andrew Bell just put these pictures up after having signed *100 pieces of them. The packaging looks stunning and the figure, I'd say breath-taking. Brilliant work, Andrew!
Oh by the way, no more than four colourways, please?
You may still grab them while they are still available here.

Andrew Bell Altars - Skull
I previously mentioned Andrew Bell's Altars a while back here. By now, I have expected them to be all sold out. However, I came across one, Skull, which is still available via. Lulubell Toys. Bot my top preference. Hit them up if you fancy one.
$1000 gets this baby turning your backyard into a sacred ground.

Giver packaging
What more to ask for from an already fantastic toy? A fantastic packaging would do. I absolutely adore the box for Andrew Bell's already coming to you, The Giver of War: Dead Zebra Edition.
I shall be highly anticipating the arrival of this piece and will be on the lookout for the Gangrene version as previously mentioned here.

The actual Giver
Image courtesy of Hana from ToyCyte
Hana of ToyCyte was kind to put up a couple of images of Andrew Bell's Giver of War: Dead Zebra edition from SDCC. We had a quick discussion on the actual colours, but bottom line is, they turned out pretty well. I am really getting hooked with this colourway, though the original Orange Burning Desire edition (postponed until further notice) would have been just as nice. I shall be eyeing on the Gangrene edition as well.

more Givers
A while away from blogging has left me rusty. Too much info out there after being left out for three weeks. It's probably a good thing since I will only mention things that fancy me.
Right away, there was an email sitting in my inbox from G1988. It tells that Andrew Bell has decided on putting the orange Giver I pre-ordered on hold and will now be replaced by his upcoming darker tone Giver of War : Dead Zebra edition, a SDCC release.
To be honest, I do not mind the replacement but the bomb does disturb me. I would have preferred something more... matching.
Anyhow, I do like the Giver's colours and since I can have one without having to fight, I say why not. The Gangrene edition is probably one to look out for. Now that's what I called a matching piece on its hands. A sort of poo lookalike.

Freezer Burn Giver
Plastic & Plush posted picture of another variant of Andrew Bell's Giver, the "Freezer Burn". From the post, we should expect to see (at the moment) three variants of the Giver; Orange "Burning Desire" (100 pcs), "Freezer Burn" (300) and "the Giver of Disease: Gangrene" (300). I don't suppose I have got it wrong that the Gangrene and Orange are in fact the same piece as I remember clearly the Orange is limited to 100 pieces (pre-ordered over at G1988), previously mentioned here.
I probably should not be tempted to get this one too. I'm almost out of display space.

Altars
I think these sculptures by Andrew Bell are awesome. If I reside in the States, I would have definitely gotten one for my living room or even better, back garden.
They are; All Seeing (3 pieces), Skull (5 pieces) and Big Mouth (3 pieces). Hand-painted and stands 30" tall, they are available from Lulubell Toys for $1000. Can't possibly have one since it will costs me an arm to have it delivered.

Andrew Bell's Giver
Photos from the show here with the rest of the show pieces (canvases, sculpts, toys, skatedeck) available here. And image of the blue colourway here.
Maybe this painting to go with the toy?
