Eight new songs in this year's first release out of an anticipated two, with the next one entitled "Purple" soon to be released. I managed to listen to a few, courtesy of Story of a Charmless Man. Read it up on Japan Live too.
Spangle Call Lilli Line continue on with their success with a different approach and it is absolutely fascinating. I have yet to listen to all the tracks but I'm already loving what I have come across.

more SCLL
I took time to dig out the rest of Spangle Call Lilli Line's albums and considering they were released quite a while back, I did a good job locating them. I mentioned them here sometime ago and I cannot resist promoting them again since their music has gotten embedded deeply into me. Absolutely love japanese indie rock!
Their first album was released in 2001 and the breakthrough came only in their 3rd album "Nano" in 2003.

Spangle Call Lilli Line
Recently been getting really into Indie music. Prior to this, was soft rock, soft house and lots of lounge music. They are usually in foreign languages; Japanese, French, Spanish and Portugese. Somehow I love listening music with lyrics that I do not understand. Bottom line is, these artists make good music.
I can't help but to add that I personally extremely dislike HipHop and certain R&Bs. I suppose it's a wave like music style that sweeps the continents for some time. Like an evolution. Or maybe it's just me, a generation-gap thing.
Here's Spangle Call Lilli Line, my current favourite. Serene, mellow with bits of japanese pop. Does have a bit of British-pop influence to it. There is quite a strong movement currently in Japan, this music genre that is.
