I did not notice that Audrey Kawasaki's show I just talked about has an innitial release of her print of her piece "She Who Dares". It is a fair comment to say that this might be Audrey's best print to date, but just because it is also most likely her works have progressed to another height.
I believe this piece was her first painting on a dark gray stained wood and second attempt after her first on a similar finish on a skatedeck (here).
It is quite stunning looking it up close. I find there is a rule of thumb for myself when contemplating whether or not I like an artist's works. Imagine yourself strolling pass a gallery one day and coming across a piece of work hung on the front display without any knowledge of who the artist is, there and then, without any influence, I think it will come naturally.

Audrey Kawasaki at Mondo Bizarro
I am certain Audrey Kawasaki's new works have been circulating around for quite a bit. Though I try not to indulge too much into her works (so to not get hooked), but it's hard to resist admiring such beautiful works. This new approach for her show at Mondo Bizarro Gallery, Rome in Italy have proven to be very much loved by her fans. And of course myself.
Here is a shot that shows you what were featured.
They are just... simply beautiful. I will not be posting every single paintings in the show. Rather, I'd just showcase my so-called favourite piece (it was extremely difficult to pick). I just find that I am able to associate to it. I cannot possibly just LIKE a piece, I just have to associate it to something around me for me to LIKE it long enough.
"In the Forest of Sleep"
You may like to see what others think about this batch of paintings and even have your say at it: at the forum I frequent here. And yes, I saw the price tags, woohoo! She's gone above and beyond now.

Audrey Kawasaki show @ Mondo Bizzaro
"She Who Dares"
18x21oil and graphite and gesso on stained wood panel
Busy busy artists, and here we have Audrey Kawasaki's upcoming show at Mondo Bizzaro in Rome, Italy taking place in September.
I just had to bank this entry in with her above piece. It is absolutely adorable. If this is ever going to be made into a print, I pledge that I shall purchase it, being my first Audrey print. I had the urge on purchasing Mia & Mai print when they were once available at her store. Oh well...
