Andy Kehoe new prints

It has been a long while since I last checked on Andy Kehoe and recently I found out he has put up (possibly) three new prints up for sale. I find that he has exceptionally quirky ideas for his artworks' titles.

I have always thought about purchasing a print or two of his but somehow it often occurs at the wrong time.

And here they are, available via his Etsy store:

"After the Flood, Trust Waivers"

"Protector Print"

"Carrier of Secrets & Mysteries Print"

At the same time, he recently posted up one of his latest paintings for his show "The Wonder" with Black Maria Gallery on 17th October. It looks fantastic!

"It Wanders"

One of the top pieces at Greg Simkins' show, "It Wanders" is now made available in print form. It's of a run of 50 pieces at 24" x 24", huge. I've always admired his outstanding compositions and this one is one of his most facinating ones. I just made a purchase on a another print, hence I shall have to pass on this.

Available through Joshua Liner Gallery here.

"She Who Dares" print

I did not notice that Audrey Kawasaki's show I just talked about has an innitial release of her print of her piece "She Who Dares". It is a fair comment to say that this might be Audrey's best print to date, but just because it is also most likely her works have progressed to another height.

I believe this piece was her first painting on a dark gray stained wood and second attempt after her first on a similar finish on a skatedeck (here).

It is quite stunning looking it up close. I find there is a rule of thumb for myself when contemplating whether or not I like an artist's works. Imagine yourself strolling pass a gallery one day and coming across a piece of work hung on the front display without any knowledge of who the artist is, there and then, without any influence, I think it will come naturally.

Dan May interview

The Lumper posted up an interview with my top artist, Dan May. I have not much idea why the interview was up at a blog when I was expecting to see one at a proper site. Anyway, good on The Lumper for compiling the interview.

Dan mentioned he has an upcoming print which will be made available through Copro Nason.

And the biggest news of them all is that he will be having his first solo show with Copro Nason coming February 2009. I am extremely excited for him.

Angry Woebots Munky King print

This was in the mail when I got home today. Did not expect it to be this small, but upon opening, I thought the size was somewhat nice. Particularly when I realized that the sketch was in fact a transparent paper envelope and the print goes inside it. I thought the transparency was a clipped-on when I purchased it.

Cheers to Angry Woebots for the complementary sketches. And of course to John for the splendid packaging - again!

Amy Sol prints

Here are my two new Amy Sol prints additions. Seeing them in person, I have to say that I think "Dillydally Ticky Tock" captures my attention over the other piece (which people like better in general). Most likely "Going be Leaf" has a sweeter composition or setting. However, in terms of intricate details, Dillydally takes it.

first Noferin prints

From my previous post here, I purchased my first Noferin prints and they arrived to my door this morning. It appeared quite beaten-up, naturally I was real worried about the prints inside being ill-treated and disfigured.

Thankfully the foamboards did their job and prevented further damage except to themselves.

In which moonlight filters through the forest

Things that came with them:

Note the "Congratulations" note was towards 'winning' the award for having the longest mailing address this time round. *I am proud of it. :)

Such sweet people. Thank you Noferin.

Noferin new prints

Done with work, finally. I am absolutely knackered right now.

Got a lovely email with an update from
Noferin of their two new prints. I might jump on these, first artwork purchase from the duo, Nicho and Candy from Australia.

I hinted previously to Nicho about a commission work, I wonder whether they would give in to my request. Candy's tummy is getting real big too. :)

Both limited to 75 pieces each

I like the smaller dimension piece on the right. Just like it simpler.
Like 'em? Head over to Noferin's
shop to purchase.

new Dan May prints

Been a little quiet lately for Dan May. He is probably onto something massive, just to be unleashed in due time. Had a quick look at his site and there is a post about new affordable prints of his being put for sale via Charmingwall for just $20 each.

I have always loved his choice of green.

new Kehoe prints

Andy Kehoe put up three new prints. Two relatively small ones. On top of that, Tiny Showcase has Andy back for another round of mini print, entitled "Passing Away into Unseen Worlds" (edition of 200, 4.5" x 5.6") for a mere $20.

Believe it or not, I still have yet to decide on my two print purchases from Andy. Tsk... tsk...

There are some affordable open edition prints of Andy's works from Charmingwall.

Angry Woebots print in the mail

Just received my Angry Woebots print that I recently mentioned here. Great packaging, it's quite different when you get a fellow collector doing the packaging. He/She would pack it the way it is expected from a buyer's view.

The print is real lovely, as I expected from the previous post. The size is just about right, any bigger, I personally do not think it will be as nice. However, I think the resolution is slightly off. That's only evident if you really squint your eyes and glare at it upclose.

Amy Sol print

Picked up my "The Apple & The String" print by Amy Sol from the post office this morning. It's beautiful. It will be placed at the front of my desk till I have enough of staring at it.

Love the creatures. With all their eyes closed, I wonder where they are heading to.
